ICA--current needs

Our local food shelf has seen unprecedented increases in the number of new families needing their help. Please pick up a few of the following items when you shop--the grocery basket is inside the breezeway door awaiting your generosity: Noodles (both gluten-free and regular), pasta sauce, peanut butter, baking mixes, cereal, shelf-stable milk, applesauce, tea, canned protein (tuna, chicken), deodorant. Thank you!

2.) MEALS ON WHEELS - JOB OPENING… Meals on Wheels – South Shore has a NEW Meal Coordinator job opening!

 The part-time job of Meal Coordinator comes with flexible hours and the opportunity to serve our community in a significant way.  Would you like to work 2 - 3 days per week, for about 4 - 5 hours per day?  Would you like to work with friendly volunteers and appreciative Meals on Wheels customers?  You will spend some time in the kitchen assembling meals for delivery.  You will also work in the office and occasionally get out to meet our clients in their homes.  You will make a difference in the lives of many.  All the necessary training will be provided for the right candidate.  We are located at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior and have been serving meals for over 50 years.  To apply, email a short cover letter describing your interest, along with your resume to mealsonwheels@mountcalvary.org and write “Job Opening” in the subject line.  Direct any questions to Tom Lindquist at the email address above or call us at (952) 474-5227.
